Climate change. I grew up in VT and we used to have snow pretty consistently beginning early November. Nothing will stick around these days until January.

We used to design costumes to fit over snow suits as kids ❄️

Ugh that’s smart. Some of my friends did that. My mom would just make us wear those bulky snow suits over my costume. I remember being so frustrated about it. 😆

As a parent it frustrated me too - all that work getting a nice costume together for the kids and then you had to cover it!

How quickly they forget that one of the largest explosions in human history happened in Tonga less than a year ago and we were told it could impact weather for months or years…

But the carbon we've been pumping into the atmosphere for a century has nothing to do with it?
Also I'm in my 30s so when I say the winters are warmer and shorter than they were, I'm talking about a longer time period than the past year.

I remember halloweens being frigid and snow covered on the regular. Alas, won’t be seeing that again

Well, if you’re older than 5 that’s literally not true. I have photos of snowfall as early as Columbus Day and it often lasts as long as the end of April-start of May. I don’t know what Vermont you live in, but here in reality it doesn’t happen that way.
