I’m blanking on the name right now(it’s changed so many times over the years (Nynex, bell Atlantic, Consolidated, etc.) but my step father and brother work for the company that installs and maintains the phone and internet lines in Vermont and sometimes NH. Good paying job, they train you and have several areas you can work in (home installation, fiber, working on actual lines on poles).
Edit: it’s Fairpoint now.

Well then maybe it’s something to do with the Union. My little brother started in Vermont but now works out of Manchester, NH.
