I believe they were granted some "luxuries" for good behavior, however yes - this is a fairly nice cell compared to maximum security adult prison cells.

Agreed, this is fairly standard for a juvenile prison cell. Especially when compared to a segregation cell the one featured in the thumbnail is pretty comfortable.

So they removed them from society..They can no longer cause you harm, They can't engage with the general public. Now what? You want them in dingy a cave eating bats and drinking whatever drops from the stalactites?

You guys should see Prisons in some other countries.
The US Prison System as an example is pure garbage compared to Sweden or Norway.
