We all knew it was gonna happen, but Scott walker is a dumbass and he pushed it through. I still occasionally see "jobs" posted for them but it's well known here that they just don't exist

I know 2 people that work there. They literally do nothing all day at the racine area campus. One is a "programmer" He used to run the CNC routers at work. The other guy is in maintenance.

I've had a job like that before and it's truly miserable. i would, quite literally, show up to work for days and even weeks at a time and do nothing but sit on my phone because there was nothing to do.

Seems like a great time to get paid to learn a new trade/skill

Agreed, bring a laptop and get in some classes. I’m sure plenty of college students would love to be paid to sit in a room and do the classes they were already in anyway.

this depends on exactly what kind of nothing you're paid to do. if they leave you alone and don't pay attention, it's grand. if they do pay attention so you have to look busy while doing nothing, it's misery.

Yeah, agreed. I had a job like that too in the years before the internet was a thing, and I read so. many. books. You know a job is going to be stupendously boring when the bosses provide a TV for you to watch.

If the pay's decent, that actually sounds kind of awesome to me.

I live about 10 minutes away from the Foxconn campus. It’s like a ghost town. Two gigantic buildings, and like 20 cars in the parking lots

I find it so strange how leaders in the Republican Party literally con Republican voters out of millions of their hard earned money and those same Republican voters just cheer harder for the people who conned themselves.

I know they resent the rest of the world calling them idiots but it’s almost like they’re begging for it

Easier to cheer like you're in on it than admit you were fleeced.

Same way unions force you to pay them and they support democrats

No I’m talking about actual convicted grifters. Facts, not feelings. Bannon was convicted of grifting Republican voters out of their hard earned money. Then trump pardoned Bannon for his crime of grifting Republican voters. And now Republican voters are such idiots that they wildly support the guy who pardoned the criminal who grifted them.

Unions, while you feel that you don’t approve of them, ensure better living wages for members. This is a fact.

These two things are not the same
