It is a bit tone deaf to liken Trump to Erdogan. The cult of personality is there, but the power and social sway really isn't. They are willing to flag wave and fork over their paychecks, but generally not much more. If Trump had the pull that Erdogan does, Jan 6 would have gone a lot differently.
