Thanks both -- is there a particular dentist you recommend? Not sure if this is a place with several different dentists in one office etc.

Can confirm when Little Sandwich Shop (right by Grove) has their matzah ball soup it's delicious! I practically lived off it when I had a tooth pulled and could only eat soup and other soft/liquid foods haha

they change out their soups daily so it's hit or miss, but they tend to have this one most days I think

for further context - I know you're supposed to call 911/take an ambulance for that, but I was not SURE if I was just overreacting and I live a 5-7 min walk from JCMC

All I know is when I went to JCMC with chest pain/pressure at midnight, thinking I may be having a heart attack bc I knew I had high blood pressure, I ended up waiting for hours to be seen -- thank god it wasn't a heart attack.

I'm not yet sure if I could commit to this regularly, but I'd still love to get on the WhatsApp group to SEE if walks are happening that I might be able to join haha

I know this is specifically a downtown area aspect, but I love how close the waterfront area is for me personally, and how well it is maintained for the most part. I love walking or biking along the waterfront in the spring/summer/fall -- even into the hours beyond sunset - or even super early in the morning!

I don't know if this will make sense, and maybe it sounds cliche, but while we live in a city, it can also often feel like a not-so-little village or smaller/closer knit type of community.

LOVED Sam AM the time I went with a friend visiting from out of town. Small place but felt cozy and the food and service were great.

I usually love the soups at the Little Sandwich Shop downtown at 333 Grove St by Newark Ave.

Their chicken matzo ball soup is great + their tomato soup when they have it

Wasn't a huge fan of their New England clam chowder, but it's also not one they frequently that from what I've seen.

The only local (downtown) bagel I really trust at this point is Wonder Bagels on Jersey Ave and Columbus

Anyone have alt suggestions for GOOD "real" bagels in the same area (or Paulus Hook even)

Also, a new place called City Bagel is opening on Grove St. at some point "soon" -- hope their bagels are good
