Ban AirBnBs in Jersey City. Also, ban (or have a massive tax) for homes in JC that's not a primary residence. It also seems like increasing supply won't solve the problem since there's so much dark money looking to hide in NYC area real estate. So banning foreign or anonymous buyers needs to be enacted, otherwise just increasing supply won't do anything.

BA is absolutely horrible. I had a round trip trip from NYC to Scotland that required a stopover in London, and 3 out of the 4 total legs got canceled. They tried to put me on a different flight but none of them worked. I asked if I could just book separate one-way flights and one-way flights are over double the price of round trip. We booked business class flights, but by the time we could use the voucher and book new flights, we could only afford economy since prices went up by so much.

We have a little left over on the vouchers but I don't even want to use them since I never want to put myself in a situation where I have to count on BA again.

I think you can find that if you look at a brownstone in the Hamilton Park area. You likely won’t find that in a luxury high rise with all the fancy amenities, but if you look on Zillow you might be able to find something this time of year.

I agree. I think about this all the time. What's even more frustrating is that if the city actually started enforcing this and issuing heavy fines, JC would be so flushed with cash they wouldn't need to raise our property taxes ever again.

They should have something where you submit a video of a car breaking the law, and then you get to split the money from the ticket. No need for new cops, the city makes more money, and people would just be camped out on Columbus making a fortune - thus creating more jobs.

Do you know where the freeze is? Is there any part of the pipe that’s exposed outside? A part of my pipes that are exposed outside froze in December. I took a pot of warm water and poured it over the exposed part of the pipe. Repeated a few times and it thawed.

Then I went to a hardware store and got a heat cable to wrap around the pipe. I then covered it in pipe insulation. It seemed to handle the cold weather we have.

Thanks. I think it may be a blockage in the pipe. Wondering if anybody has had a problem with pumps leading outside freezing after the rain and immediate temp drop we just experienced.

I disconnected the pipe and tried running the sump pump and it's pumping water, so I think the problem might be in the pipe or if there's an air lock.
