On the contrary, I recommend going to see comedians (and movies for that matter) alone! I saw Jimmy Carr (a guilty pleasure) alone on a whim and was free to laugh as loud as I wanted without judgement. I was a sitting duck being front row - last ticket available - but he picked on the couples either side of me, whew! Sarah’s so kind to her audience, I doubt she’d give you a hard time even if you were front row and alone. Enjoy!

ATX->DC transplant here - dew it! Weirdly DC reminds me of old Austin - small town vibes with big city amenities. I think the cohesiveness of each neighborhood - being able to live, eat, drink, hang out, dry clean, etc. all hyper locally - helps, without everything being as overwhelming as NYC.

The taco options here are vastly improved since I left Austin ~10 years ago (Taco City is my local fave), and even BBQ is looking up (2Fifty). Not things to “scope out” while you’re just visiting but good to know they exist when you make the move and get homesick;-)

Annoying for sure, sorry OP. Do you have pics of the spot/car/signage? If you’ve got that and the e-receipt for the park mobile payment, IME getting it dismissed should be a piece of cake…or have I just been strangely fortunate thus far?
