When you’ve just come out of a polar vortex 50 feels pretty nice. Of course I prefer 65-85, but it is relative my friend.

They said “between cost of living and culture/food.” Yes it’s still an expensive city, but it’s #2 in culture/food behind Boston. So you’re paying a lot less but still getting a decent city living experience.

One thing I just don’t get. One of the most well-off states financially can’t maintain its roads. Love driving over the border and instantly hitting smooth roads.

Worcester is your best bet if you don’t mind driving 30 minutes there and back. Fitchburg/Leominster have townie bars and chain restaurants, and a few hip local spots in Leominster. You’ll most likely end up with a job in leominster if you really think you need to stay close. But like I said, Worcester is where it’s at if you want tips.

Your home is poorly insulated. It can’t hold the heat that’s being pumped into it. The strong winds are making it impossible. My apartment has been fine this whole time because we have good insulation; albeit the heat had been kicking on nearly nonstop.

Agreed! Winter of 2017-2018 had a weeks long stretch of single digit weather. That was BRUTAL. This is easily the coldest a lot of us have ever experienced, but it’s so incredibly short lived.

Right? It’s all relative. Look at Yakutsk. You just live with it. Everybody’s saying to stay inside. Well, a lot of us have no option, and it’s not as if we can’t be prepared for it.

I agree it’s bad but that’s a bit of an exaggeration. A luxury apartment complex just built in my neighborhood is asking 1,600 for a 1-bed
