Among who? Genuine question. I grew up in the 80s in Pennsylvania and never heard them on the radio or MTV. Never knew about them until some 20 years later. (They’re great of course)

I was four years old when the Thriller video had its world premiere on MTV and even then I knew it was a big deal. The video for Billie Jean might be even better though. He lit up the sidewalk with every step! The dude was larger than life.
