Stahhhp. Just go with CRISPR. Why waste time talking about wild cure ideas which will probably never even see daylight? The earlier we can perfect and commence human trials for Gene therapy, the quicker it can be made available for market.

My husband's side of the family has pretty bad cancer history. His grandfather died of Lung Cancer at 75, one uncle died of sudden stomach pain (after suffering most symptoms of stomach cancer ) and the other uncle died of liver cancer. Neither uncles made it to 60. Both had bad addictions towards alcohol and tobacco. Not sure if it's the gebes or their lifestyles. My husband doesn't regulate his eating habit, eats out at every chance, preffers sugar, refined flour etc over whole grains. We are both I our early 30s (I just turned 30 and he is 32) but I get sleepless nights thinking what if my husband gets it. I would need this gene for him!

I honestly think there are other pressing matters. Knowing age of the universe is not really important even for the next 500 years. Instead why not channel the resources used into finding things like "age of the universe " to trying to cure cancer? I feel like as of 2022 we have suddenly made momentous developments in curing this curse of a disease and as if we are standing on the edge of a pivotal discovery that will change everything we know about treating this disease. I feel like if properly researched we will be able to see even stage 4 patients being given curative treatment instead of palliative, being cured and going back to living life like it was before the disease; in our lifetimes.

If AI takes our jobs, one thing that would happen for good is that the medication for cancer would be developed faster and more efficaciously.

Are you serious, there have been multiple human trials woth CRISPR. WHAT. We keep hearing a fucktonn of cancer cure researches. Someone checked the algae that grows on a sloth's body because of mack of movement and found anti cancer properties in the algae. What are we, gunna harvest sloth algae now? What I meant is the money that is spent on cancer research is finite and such resource should be allocated to something that can give verifiable result in a reasonable time frame. Which CRISPR does. Sound waves, algae, Indian and Chinese mushrooms and herbs, might contain a lot of good properties that may help orevebt cancer to certain extent, doesn't mean we treat it the same way we treat CRISPR.
