Have you been to the Sawtooth Mountain range, or sun valley, or Sandpoint. Plenty of beauty in that state

The whole Northwest is special like that so you have options. I mean Washington is slightly more special than all but you still have options. I have drove about every road in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. All wildly beautiful but there is just something special about Washington. Oregon is wonderful too. Driving from Bend up to Hood River is the most magical views of several volcanoes.

I never left headlights on during day when I lived in south. Up here, with windy mountain roads, I run them all the time. Plus it's a lot more cloudy up here.

Reply to Took a drive to Diablo Lake. It got foggy and cloudy at the viewpoint, so I had to search for views. Found this view from down near Diablo Dam. Taken around 7:30 AM, about 30 minutes before sunrise. Haven't had any luck finding the name of the mountain, anyone know? by Nixx_Mazda
How were the roads?

I have practiced for years with keeping my eyes on the white or yellow lines in those situations. If there are no lines then I just scream "Jesus take the wheel"

I know several that quit over mandates. I thinks that's a majority of it along with exhaustion from dealing with covid.

Everything outside of the big cities is beautiful to me. I am just a backwoods kind of guy so cities come with claustrophobia. I like to imagine Seattle before it was overdeveloped. I can't imagine the beauty it held then
