What they've managed to achieve by basically letting the player run around in fleshed out, detailed, toy versions of historical places of phenomenal, even if not all the games are great.

The amount of different environments you can find in Oregon is truly spectacular. And most of them can be reached with a couple hours' drive from Portland.

"you don't like the music that I LIKED when I was growing up, which means you have bad taste!"
I dunno man, I grew up in the 90's and I definitely question the musical taste of my younger self. And there are plenty of artists whom I can appreciate their significance, but I would never just sit down and listen to. Bob Marley is one. Led Zeppelin is another. Jimi Hendrix can go one way or the other.
Times change, technology changes, tastes change, and that doesn't mean anyone is wrong because they don't like the same things you do.

It's a pretty common practice to try and feed the sharks first in waters where sharks are going to steal all of your catch if you don't. Not sure if that's what's happening here, but if you're catching deep sea fish, having your catch nommed by sharks on the way up is a pretty common problem. I've even hooked some fish that had a solid bite taken out of them.
