This makes me wonder if the heavier elements in our universe have then also been around longer (and in greater abundance) than we thought. Because if massive galaxies were around so soon that suggests supernovas were also going off a lot earlier than we thought, which means more time for heavy elements to form.

I find tri-tip to be a bit stringy that rare, even cutting against the grain. But that looks like a nice one. Makes great leftover roast beef too :)

Reply to Research shows animals are key to restoring the world’s forests. The unique long-term data set revealed that animals, by carrying a wide variety of seeds into deforested areas, are key to the recovery of tree species richness and abundance to old-growth levels after only 40 to 70 years of regrowth. by Wagamaga
It’s encouraging to see that once humanity completely collapses the forests will be healthy again in less than 100 years.

Reply to A recently released set of topography maps provides new evidence for an ancient northern ocean on Mars. The maps offer the strongest case yet that the planet once experienced sea-level rise consistent with an extended warm and wet climate, not the harsh, frozen landscape that exists today. by Wagamaga
How long ago are we talking? Millions of years? Billions?
You can pick practically any bit of fossilized seabed on Earth and evidence of life. If Mars really did have a sea that harbored multicellular life I would expect the evidence wouldn’t be that hard to find.

Sure. But history suggests a ruling like this is likely to be followed by bribery and assassinations.
