Ok, it’s spelled correctly in the title and I bet you got a red, squiggly underline when you typed it, how did you fuck it up? It’s a ‘U’ masrUrbation. Learn it, use it.

Sorry, pet peeve.

There’s also the ‘doctors awareness.’ I know my chart says I have a family history of colon cancer and heart disease. I got my first colonoscopy at 42, long before it is recommended. I go to a cardiologist at the recommendation of my GP and get an EKG at least once a year.

I’m in the US, so I also have a strong suspicion that those tests would not be approved for insurance without that family history.

I'm curious at what age it's OK to leave a kid home alone nowadays. I was home alone or with my brother every day after school starting when I was 9 years old. I realize this was a special case, but is 11 considered too young to be home alone?

Up to ‘I panicked and pushed him away’ I’m with you and was thinking the same thing and I agree with your suggestions. But that’s where it should have ended, it should have been clear that things were over and there was a miscommunication in expectations. Everything past that was inexcusable.
