That's pretty neat. In terms of time and effort required, how does it compare to hanging up the board by making holes in the wall and then patching the holes later, aka the usual method?

Can you glue the string to the concrete? It wouldn't need to be under much tension or support any weight.

As a plan B, could you build a post out of metal or lumber to attach the string to, and just have that sit against the concrete?
