Walmart does this too from time to time, usually on some random endcap. A lot of stuff is good way after the sell by date. That's why a lot of things have changed "sell by" to "best before/by" to be more accurate.

Well, it's a good thing most of us don't live in a commercial kitchen then.

Must be store by store basis as I see a guy in one now that has one and have seen them on others in the past.

A regular hair cutting trimmer. That will get most of it. After that, just use shaving cream and a razor to go bare. Source - I let my beard grow out for months before I shave and that's the process I've done since I was a kid.

People indeed do this to get out of inspections (that's also why you see Ohio plates here) but TBH I don't think inspections are scams. (OK I'll give you the emissions BS though) Go to Ohio and look at the shitboxes that drive on the road over there everyday or the pieces of shit that they sell used there. An old job of mine required me to occasionally travel that entire state and their cars are absolute junk there compared to PA and WV, which both require yearly inspections. I think the emissions thing is a ripoff but otherwise will never ever complain about inspections considering I've seen what people will try and get away with on the road if they're held to no standard.

A lot of people register their vehicles with FL registration instead of PA to save money.

Reply to LPT: Pick at least 1 day a year to check/replace/remove dying batteries, not just in smoke alarms. Weather radios, older remotes, anywhere they may leak and ruin devices. And recycle, don't toss the old ones. Time change dates are easiest to remember, or set 1 or 2 annual reminders. by Njtotx3
I do something similar, mostly with my power tools. They've come a long way but even today's batteries need some upkeep. Depending on the battery, every 3-6 months I will charge it just to make sure it has a charge and doesn't sit dead for potentially a long time. Not only does this ensure it works when I need it to but it's also good for the battery's maintenance in regards to the battery's life.

I've only owned 3 smartphones since they've been a thing. My first one was Sony's first attempt at a 'gaming" phone and that thing was absolute junk, got rid of it fairly quick. I then tried Samsung's Note, think it was the 2 or 3 and used that for YEARS. I only ended up upgrading because I accidentally threw it down the stairs (it was in my jacket pocket, forgot about it) when I was getting my laundry ready. That throw fucked up the screen but it still worked but ultimately the screen eventually became unusable and although I probably could replaced it, figured might as well finally get a new one after the tenure that one had.
I'm on a Note 8 now, got it in 2016 after that mishap and have been using that ever since. Battery seems decent but I'm not a game user or use any apps that are resource heavy so that likely helps a lot. So my vote goes to the Notes although I'm willing to bet many smartphones can go longer than you think as long as you take care of them and don't abuse the hell out of them like I see many do.

ALDI was bad even before inflation/shrinkflation. They were using the shrinkflation aka Dollar General business model long before any of this shit happened. Price is low but the quantity you're getting is zilch. No value for what you're actually getting for the price you pay. Certain things they are still good for but IMO better off at GE or wherever else you want to go besides Aldi.
