Just because you don’t like what he has to say doesn’t mean he’s wrong.
At the end of the day there is very little a state governor can do to increase rail safety and it’s by design. Fines and remediation fees aren’t going to force a company to increase safety measures when cutting those corners makes them more money in the long run.

It is not murder. It is an accident. It’s also homicide. But homicide does not equal murder. These are indisputable facts.
Unless, of course, OP has proof that these were premeditated acts. In which case no amount of bike infrastructure would have stopped it and it would be weird to use such an unrelated act to push your agenda.

Murders?
Hmmm downvotes but nobody explaining how it’s murder. Interesting.

Considering their base doesn’t come from Philly I doubt this effects their electoral odds in any way.

But lights in general are a fraction of the amount of power that heat uses.
Complaining about Christmas lights makes as much sense about complaining about cooking a Christmas roast in an electric oven.
The fact of the matter is that our electrical grid needs to be modernized. Everything else is just utter bullshit.

Yeah I heard it as well and had the same thoughts on location.
What really surprised me (not really) is how the police never broke it up. Just goes to show how fucking useless cops in Philly are. Jackasses can do burnouts for hours in the wee hours of the morning and the authorities do absolutely nothing about it. Wtf are we paying these jackasses for?

Reply to The Local Tax Burden on Philadelphia Households: Homeowners generally pay less by PhillyAccount
Call me crazy but I think Philly would be better served by completely auditing its budget before fiddling with tax rates. Ultimately tax rates do need to be reevaluated but there is so much waste in the city government that really should be addressed first. For the amount of money the city has, our return is awful. I mean we are (supposedly) a major city that is just recently reintroducing street sweeping. It’s truly absurd.
Yes, taxes need to be reworked. But just changing where the money comes from does nothing to address the real problem this city faces. How the money is (mis)managed.
