Just get out of the way. When snow slides off the panels, you’ll either hear it or feel it. Hopefully you’ll only hear it.

For a wedding? Justices of the Peace in Rhode Island aren’t permitted to officiate weddings. There are plenty of good non-denominational officiants though, and just about anyone can get a one-day license to perform a wedding ceremony.

They really are. For first-timers: it may look like chaos when you get there. It is, but it’s very well-organized chaos.

The whole day was outstanding… the trouble spot this morning was in New Bedford, but there was nothing slowing down Rhode Islanders. You all made my job easy today. 🎤

They coexisted for years (Ollie’s in Pennsylvania and Building 19 in Massachusetts) and must’ve gotten along good enough that it was ok to have the same freelance cartoonist doing the ads for both chains... their store locations never overlapped anyway. The cartoonist is Mat Brown; he’s from Scituate.

There’s live jazz on Sunday afternoons at Johnny’s at the Wyndham in Middletown… they don’t always have a sax player but they post the schedule of who’s playing and what instruments they play on their Facebook page.
(If Dennis Cook is mentioned, you can’t go wrong. Super nice guy and an incredible sax player).

It might not be common knowledge, but it’s understandable. If they were all real, there’s no way they’d sit there all month without rotting or being eaten by squirrels.
It also takes months to carve them all; there’s still talent involved. The whole thing is produced by Passion for Pumpkins, an outside company which runs the event in multiple cities.
