i only ever got help from unemployment, by calling my local PA CareerLink office, getting through to them (way easier than to unemployment, but still not easy, just not impossible) and then they literally put your name/number on a list (a google doc, i've gathered, it sounds like) that the people at unemployment pick from/work from and no joke, like 3 days later (2 different times, a year plus apart during the pandemic) someone will call you back from unemployment and answer your questions/issues/fix your shit.

good luck. it's one of the more frustrating exercises i've endured over my years.

agreed. It's one of the more fun interactions i've had with government workers. You walk in say you wanna talk to the Postmaster, and it's like you asked to talk to the wizard of oz. people 'ooh and ahh' i feel like. Then the dude i got, was amazing. he immediately was super pissed with me about the thing i was pissed about, going as far to bring the responsible person out to ask, 'what the fuck, jim?'... it was amazing. Highly recommend.
