Fb marketplace might not allow it but have you check your local group fb? Like I know many towns have buy/sell pages to list items.

If you want to just donate, a lot of "unofficial buy nothing "insert town" groups have popped up recently.

Other than that, I don't know.

Fuck. Where the hell have I been? I've never heard about any of this.

What a shame. I find it quite grotesque that the Republicans try to compare what's been happening in this country and around the world to anything related to the Holocaust, or that time period. Anyone with a half brain can see that it's not Dems trying to lock people up or murder people for who they are, but Republicans on the other hand... there's plenty of evidence of them saying stuff like that. I just saw something the other day about a right wing figure saying that stuff.

I'd link it but can't remember where I saw it or who the figure was. I've been blocking it out lately as it's just too much and I need a break from politics.

I would say New Haven area. Branford is very nice, very suburban. You would have everything you need in Branford or within a 15 minute drive to get to wherever you need, and the train station is fairly newly rebuilt and is quite nice. It's also sort of centrally located to both NY and MA.

Rental property around here gets scooped up very quickly. Actually, any property really whether rental or purchasing, goes fast so I'd start looking for somewhere to rent a little bit before you plan on actually moving here. It's definitely what they call a sellers market which has been difficult on buyers/renters, at least everyone I know has had a difficult time.

Other than that, all the places everyone mentioned are great places. I saw someone mention Morris Cove which is really a great neighborhood but prob more suburban than you're looking for and there's no bars/restaurants immediately nearby within walking distance. It was a very Italian neighborhood at one point but has changed a bit so there are a few small markets but that's it. East Rock is probably more what you're looking for.

How much do you want to spend? I have a couch in my basement (covered) it's a Lazy Boy and bc it was under warranty, I had it serviced so it's looks brand new but we're not using it and probably never will. I'd really like it gone.

Edit: it's like a medium charcoal gray, sort of smooth material like microfiber but not, and reclines on either end of the sofa but the middle piece doesn't recline and you can pull it apart so that you can move it more easily.

I'm not OP but thank you! Salem is a lot of fun. I've only been there once and when my son gets a little older I plan on taking him. Sure it's crowded but seeing everyone dressed up and going to the museums was so much fun. I went there on a year Halloween fell on a weekly so it was insanely crowded but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We got a hotel just outside of Salem and drove over to Salem in the late morning and spent the whole day there. I hope OP goes and has lots of fun!
