It's like that saying. No cheeseburger of pain, no chicken fajita of gain.

Startling to think an author would not notice such an obviously wrong word appearing in their Egg McMuffin.

Like the tangerine of guilt and the avocado of nostalgia it's just a stupid expression someone just made up. The author probably thought "that sounds cool!"
edit - the "curse of autocorrect" explanation makes sense.

The ANSI version is much better. Still no backspace, but there is a key above ENTER which could be used as an alternative. This ISO version, however is super-weird. Even Keychron don't provide pictures of how it should look when assembled!

Nobody knows what Keychron were thinking, because they don't even have pictures of what the ISO version of this is supposed to look like. They only sell it barebones. But yeah - someone like me who likes cursor keys is definitely gonna want a backspace key too!

I've got a couple of laptops and another (normal!) keyboard in daily use so I'm unlikely to totally reprogram my typing habits!

It's more about the position of the key relative to "enter". I'm not mega speedy and the mistakes aren't usually spelling mistakes, just a reconsideration of sentence structure etc.

I don't mind using layers for numbers, as I don't often need them. Ditto #$%^ etc. But digging for very basic things which I use every few seconds would be truly masochistic. I have a few more standard keyboards, an Epomaker and couple of Kludges - but the heftiness of this is lovely so if I do cave in and revert to something bigger it will probably be a Q2 or something like that. An altogether different kind of quality and really nice to type on.

Well there were a few gaps on the keyboard I didn't know what to do with. Turns out Keychron didn't know either cos they never made a diagram of how this is supposed to look!

It's supposed to be FN2 but I don't have one of those! But "B" something turns out to be quite handy as by default that layer only controls the rubbishy lighting on this keyboard. ie B for brightness.

If it doesn't work out I can always grab me a Q2 but other than the delete key situation (which I think I have solved) I'm not really having any problems with the Q9. It is a weird keyboard - and I wish I'd bought the ANSI version! - but it's lovely to type on.

I type a lot, but I make mistakes all the time and often rejig a sentence. It's really a case of old dog, new tricks - as much as possible I want to avoid diving into different layers.

I tried that but I kept slapping the void above the Enter key because that's where I usually find it. Also, in a kajillion years of typing, I don't think I've ever needed the right shift key! I find this layout a lot easier to deal with than what I had yesterday (I posted other pictures of this strange ISO Q9 misadventure.)

Also adding a 1 key keypad that features my favourite number, 2.

It's obviously a pretty juicy setting for conflict - lots of angry males cooped up together, lots of grudges, alliances, schemes and potential for violence. Basically like boarding school, only with better food!
