Personally I expect the GOP to campaign heavily against AI, their large base of evangelical Christians won't give them the choice not to.

I think it's rather optimistic to think we'll have the tech necessary to make all programmers obsolete in only three years. I think it's more likely that AI could largely wipe out junior/entry-level positions in that time though, and it sounds less crazy or far-fetched.
