Reply to Suffolk or Umass Boston? by [deleted]
Apply for financial aid at both and see what they come back w. Suffolk may be slightly nicer/more fun, but not worth triple the debt.
Recovering from deep student loan debt was a serious undertaking that I wish I'd considered more, before pulling the trigger on my college decision. I fucking loved my school, but I have no doubt that there would have been a negligible difference in education quality, if I'd have chosen to go to one of the other schools I'd applied to, at half the cost, my 20's would have been a lot more comfortable.

Reply to Harvard Job Salary by [deleted]
I work at Harvard Business School in the 53 pay grade. I was started at $53k and make $63k in the same job 5 years later. Currently looking for my next move.
There are tons of applicants... If you are a recent college grad with no relevant experience and ask for $65k, they will move on to the next recent college grad who'll take $55k.
Living by yourself in this area at that salary would be spreading it extremely thin. Get a roommate.

Reply to Legal Question (Rental Agent Related) by puglord
1 month broker fee is totally standard in Boston. It's fucking ridiculous. Unless it's being shown by the owner, or is a large complex w a dedicated leasing agent, you're paying it almost everywhere.

They ran out of gas / got a flat, or had some other sort of mechanical failure.
Typically they get it figured out within a day or it's towed as an abandoned vehicle.
The orange sticker is a warning that the vehicle is about to get towed for being abandoned.
