If he was from Siebert’s, I promise you he wasn’t joking about it being his passion. I know they get a lot of shit, but those people are genuinely terrible and truly revel in fucking up people’s days with their city contract/evil, predatory cash cow monopoly.

I had my car towed TODAY, in the 3rd precinct, from a spot in front my house that either myself or another tenant park literally every single day.
Do I have a case here?

Yeah, I think some people are compounding their hate for DOC and disdain for overly aggressive Rent-A-Cops, but these guys strike me as the type to be assholes regardless of what they’re “guarding”. They just happened to be the ones hired and assigned for this particular building.
I doubt the crew of almost exclusively African American guards really give a fuck about the DOC itself.

I don’t think Richmond qualifies as a “college town” unless we’ve changed the definition to include a capital city that happens to have a college in it.
Charlottesville fits the bill because UVA and the town are almost synonymous; I don’t think that applies here, even while acknowledging that VCU has bought up a decent portion of part of the city.
I have a feeling this thread isn’t really going to include the types of places that the original tweet was defining and will be mostly places that people find fit the first four adjectives.

The National doesn’t charge any fees for in person purchases. I go that route every time both because of this and because I like to keep physical ticket stubs.

Promoters/venues in this particular sector of the music industry are generally trash. I’m not talking about genre of music, I’m talking about these low level dickheads whose product is 90% hyped up social media posts convincing people to give them their money for the party of the year when they happen to book a well known artist on a clear cash grab. Logistics and crowd experience were last on anyone involved’s list of shit to care about, including Trippie. He had no business doing that bullshit show, but at the end of the day, he got paid and the fans got screwed, and neither he nor the promoters give a shit. That’s just how it works with these scumbags.

In my latest of many experiences with them, I inexplicably got towed from in front of my apartment, a spot where someone is literally parked almost every second of every day. I ended up being very late for work (I work nights), so I couldn’t get my car until the next morning. Not only did they immediately brush me off and say they didn’t care about why my car was towed, I was 7 minutes past the cut off time that nobody told me about and I was charged for two days of storage, despite my car being there for a total of 16 hours.
I’m currently awaiting my court date for that one.
