There are actually some very good reasons to include the attic in the heated space (e.g. if your hvac conduits are inside your conditioned space rather than running through a blistering hot or freezing cold attic, you can prevent fairly significant losses and actually save money even though you're heating a larger space), but you have to make sure your attic, roof, and HVAC systems are set up for it. You shouldn't just slap insulation on the bottom of the roof deck and assume it will work, it may not and it also has the possibility of creating things like moisture damage problems in your roof depending on your climate.

A significant amount of state legislation in CA, NY, etc. After the disaster of the post 1994 AWB midterms, Dems have avoided spending political capitol on federal legislation, though they do regularly introduce things like new AWB bills. I think Pelosi has introduced an updated version of the 94 AWB every year since it expired in 2004.

It was specifically requested by people in an earlier thread that had a similar chart that included suicides. Moreover, legislative solutions to suicides vs homicides might look very different, so you need to separate the data out to analyze that. If suicides are the driving factor and not homicides, for example, high capacity magazine and assault weapon bans won’t do any good.

The mystery is immediately solveable, because there really isn't much of a mystery. Miles obviously did it. But just like the whole glass onion metaphor, everyone, including Blanc and the audience, assumes there is a lot more to it than that and so the obvious answer can't be what happened because there's no way Miles would be dumb enough to murder her.

He's dumb, and he obviously couldn't reveal that he'd tried to murder her to everyone else, and had to play along until he figured out what to do. Then Blanc gave him the idea for getting Duke's gun just a few minutes after they arrive, so he continued to pretend until he was able to shoot her.

It's quite a bit cheaper to build the equivalent sized rooms with traditional stud walls. In fact, to actually convert a shipping container into a home, you pretty much need to frame out the floors, roof, and walls anyways, and the only function the container provides is an outer shell, especially if you want to add any doors or windows. There's a long list of complications with using a shipping container as a house that make it... not as efficient as one might expect.
