Because regardless of if I believe the shooting was justified ( which it was) I still think it’s a tragedy. Like I said, Iknow the family. More than I am willing to say. But I just don’t blame the police. People expect WAY too many things from the police. How else would the police have responded? Barricading the house? It’s impossible to say, but if you aim what appears to be a gun at police, your gonna die. If you aimed a gun at ANYBODY who is armed, your gonna die. It’s as simple as that. The real blame is on the state/federal government, for not providing the appropriate resources to people struggling with mental health.additionally, police ARE NOT trained extensively in this field. The only training that is sufficient to deal with this is to earn a PHD in psychology (still not enough)

Okay so how would you have reacted? If someone points what appears to be a gun at you (while you yourself are armed) are you just going to allow that weapon to be pointed at you? Or will you eliminate the threat? You would Prbbly defend your self. If you believe that you wouldn’t have shot someone aiming a weapon at you, then you have NO survival instincts. You should actually be sympathetic to the officer, but your too close minded to think that way. That cop made a split second decision that ANY human being would make (assuming they have survival instincts). Seriously asking, how old are you?

Important to note. Iknow the family, I know this woman who was killed. It’s horrible, it makes me sick and I am not even ready to reach out to the family to wish them my condolences. Even though I was personally effected, I still have the brain capacity to understand that the cop did what ANY person would do. It’s embarrassing for you as a person to think otherwise

No it actually does not mean that at all, they said she posed no threat because the weapon she used was not a REAL weapon. Someone familiar with Linux, you would think you could process this logically, clearly you cannot. She came outside with a BB gun, and the cops had to make a split second decision. Important to note the BB gun had no orange tip

You should do some research first of all. She came out of the house with what looked to be a rifle, and even threatened to use it on officers. Note, I know the family involved, she had just lost a son in a car accident. Complete tragedy, but you should not be so judgmental of the officer, he had to make a split second decision
