And a brand new set of polling places. I'm starting to get the impression that they don't want voters to turn out.

I agree with you, but from my experience asking Lambert for pedestrian safety improvements and/or traffic calming, I get the impression that she doesn't give half a shit what I have to say.

I don't think lobbying is bad, but you are reacting like you think lobbying is bad

That is what lobby means

The behavioral health lobby sure is dropping a lot of money lately. It's mentioned two or three times every morning in the axios newsletter, and now on Richmond.com too.
I don't have any opinion on behavioral health, I'm just annoyed by anything so blatantly advertised at me.

I am starting a new job today. I was at my previous gig for more than 8 years.
I was gonna write that I feel "excited" or "nervous" but really I kind of feel... Nothing about it.

The way you write it, it sounds like you are calling pedestrians a problem that needs to be dealt with

Circling back, I actually had to quit my run early today because my angle started bothering me. I guess I should have heeded the ominous discussion of ankles this morning.

Speed tables are very effective. That also means that if you lobby for them, everyone will rally against them because they are effective. The fire department will speak against them. Delivery guys will speak against them. Then they'll get some spokesperson from DPW to say that they cannot put speed tables on "arterial roads" (which is code for "I want cars to drive fast there, I don't care the consequences").

When that happens, they come back to re-rent the same puppy, and you can gouge the price!

For a long time I thought a puppy rental service would do well in places with a lot of pedestrian traffic. Basically the easiest ice-breaker for anyone looking to meet people is to take a puppy for a walk along Cary street.

Not sure how fucked your ankle is, but make sure you give it the care it deserves so you can still be playing at 35, 40, ...

No, I'll still run. I'll just be less happy if I'm soaked the whole time, and I'll have to deal with more blisters tomorrow.
