Who is your energy supplier? CMP delivers the energy but you can choose different suppliers and some are above the .17 per Kilowatt which is the cost of the standard offer (my friend was using a different supplier and they were being charged .40-.60 per kilowatt and had a bill of like $500). I would check who your supplier is and see if there is a lower rate

It’s highly recommend to people to get a generator for back up incase the power goes out. Unfortunately CMP has not hired nearly enough linemen to replace the workforce they had in 80s and early 90s. It’s same for most power companies (hence why they bring in out of state linemen).

Your friend needs to ask for a record of their file. They may have filled out a release form at one point giving their said boyfriend (now ex boyfriend) access to their records and never asked for the ex to be remove.
