The NHS is failing because the money that is supposed to be funding it isn’t actually going into the healthcare. The government hates the NHS and loves private companies. Why do you think every other infrastructure in the UK is private? The conservatives are funded by the people who own these companies.
Trust me, if you get a government in that does fund it properly, it will recover.

Reply to ELI5: If the chemical dopamine stimulates a 'feel good' sensation, is there a chemical that makes us angry? by Kree_Horse
Hormones dude. Adrenaline and cortisol are both responsible for fight or flight and they are the hormones involved in response. Anger is triggered by the brain, which releases those hormones, which escalates the anger. If you are not careful, you end up with a positive feedback loop which can result in rage. Learning to control anger is a important life skill. Otherwise, we’d all just kill each other whenever we get angry.

To be fair, even in the modern world, there are still many situations where a person may loose access to needed calories. For example, you go out for a bike ride, get hit by a car and end up in hospital. It may be days or in rarer cases weeks before you even eat a substantial meal again. Yes you may be given nutrients and fluids artificially, but not to the degree that we get from eating. Weight loss in hospital stay is incredibly common. There are other scenarios too where someone may need fat to survive.

I am autistic but I’d take a green any day. Hugs are strictly on a mutual consent basis though.
