I still have the toy of that little white robot. Used to have the green motorbike/helicopter too. I've lost the bike but still have the driver.

Project Zomboid for me.
First attempts at playing I'd just die constantly.
Now I'm building bases, farming crops, repairing vehicles and going on massive solo raids across the countryside with my big truck and trailer, in my search for cool weapons.
Still not found a katana, but have several sledgehammers now.

I still have my old floppy disks. Probably still got my HND project on them if they're readable still too!

I remember writing a graphics library for my computing HND back in 1996. It was DOS based and could run a resolution of 320x200. Those games and programmes I made for that were magical.
I think my favourite was a plasma style flame screen saver. That and the 3D starfield one, complete with scaling sprites!

Carly and the Reaperman could possibly be this type of co-op, though the two players are totally different and you can't complete the game with only one player. So it's probably not what you're wanting.
Carly is controlled with the keyboard in an over the shoulder style platform puzzle game, while the Reaperman is controlled by a player in VR and they manipulate the world to help Carly get to places ans solve the puzzles.
Maybe Salt & Sanctuary? You can invite a second player into your game by placing a specific guide in a sanctuary. I'm not sure how much they can do compared to the main player though.

My friend and I play a fair bit of co-op together.
These are some of the game's we play...
- The Forest
- Far Cry 5
- Doom 3 open co-op mod (NOT BFG edition)
- Minecraft
- Salt & Sanctuary
- It Takes Two
- Astroneer
- Project Zomboid
- Portal Knights
- Halo Reach
- Borderlands 2
- Dying Light
- Elite Dangerous
- Far Cry New Dawn
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Portal 2
- Serious Sam 3
- Stranded Deep
- Subnautica with Nitrox mod
Not all are adventure type games, but all are fun to play in co-op with a friend.

Same here, can barely see the Moon!
Though my mum's friend's ring doorbell caught a glimpse of it last night.
I'm going to set up a camera tonight to see if the clouds part enough to see anything.
