A serious tradgedy is about to happen w drivers doing whatever they want. Racing through the residential areas to find free parking and then leaving after having a few. I've seen many cars hit cars.

I witnessed a couple w a child try to cross Butler at the lightless crosswalk last Friday. 3 cars actually sped up rather than let them cross safely. Finally a car from each (edit) *direction stopped and let them cross. Its scary that bikers and pedestrians are not safe in their own neighborhoods. Or even those coming to visit.

Yup. Bike lanes, in front of your driveway, conjestest the alleys... It just continues all the way down to Garfield. And even that area is starting to get a lot of " the weekenders"

"Weekenders- Those who come & visit on the weekends, evenings, or bop in a shop and feel entitled to do whatever they feel like. Typically the further from the city they live, the worse the entitlement gets.

I have had it happen. When speaking to owners at our favorite place they have had drivers argue over orders and swap right on front of them.
After the owners specifically pointed which was which.

In our experiences over the last year, service has gone downhill. I have used them for a longtime over multiple cities. Something is off in parts of the Pgh area.

Did you call grubhub? We have had it happen three times.

We have dietary restrictions.

Every time it was resolved immediately. We had to reorder but grubhub issues a refund. I think they might even send a $5 coupon code to your email but we never remember to use them. Likely whomever has your meal also called.

The first time was from a location that we order from very often. The owner said he was concerned. He knew multiple drivers got into an argument over which was which and then swapped bags. He said to call grubhub, insist on a full refund. Also the next time we visited them they sent over extras in appreciation for us calling. They don't want blamed for grubhub not being able to deliver correctly.

I would bet money this person just wants to grab "a couple" things.

A couple meaning - running into 4 stores and 25 things later.

This is basically ALL of the East End nowadays. Suburban visitors rushing in to a shop and parking however & wherever they want.

I actually have Uggs. Not the fashion kind that look like ugly colored pillows but the real Uggs for Alaskan snow. I bought them probably 7 years ago and they look brand new.

I also have Doc Martin's winter lined boots that i love. Also have held up wonderfully. As well As Sorels.

Personally, LL Bean isn't a brand I have enjoyed. I don't care for them when its wet.

Indoors during winter I do like a boot w warm socks but tend to go with leather that isn't lined too heavily. I do not care for my feet being overly warm.

I also have a great pair of rainboots. I got them w a nice wide calf so i can use them w thick socks and over thick pants if needed.

Personally, i prefer a thick cotton sock over wool. Wool can be itchy when your feet sweat.

Many years ago visitpa had road maps that could join together so we could visit most of the state by vehicle. And there were a couple different ways you could go about it. Regions or drive the exterior. Interior had a map.

I did it w friends in my 20's on different occasions but never at once. I actually have always wanted to do it at once over a month in the fall or early summer.

I just went to find the old road tours. I don't see anything like that listed. They do have a bunch of driving tours available by season & region that look awesome. I am sure you could put those together and have a great time.

Perhaps even add some biking or hiking in areas like the Allegheny Passage to make it special.

I hate judging but I am a business owner. There are adult people that have no idea how to care for themselves. There are days when our staff is laughing at requests & others where we are genuinely afraid or sad.

The idea that someone maintains their own home is absolutely a weird concept for so many.

Because thats what people do. Even if someone is self reliant, it doesn't meant they are a sociopath living alone & shunning the world. Common sense. It is someone who takes care of themselves & others they care about.

From my experience & community, most people are quite social who are self reliant.
