Is that all because they want the election to be moved ahead or is it just crowds supporting an undemocratic wannabe authoritarian? Like the ones we just saw in Brazil?

People don't simply let go of the initial reason. Who are them and why are they supporting a president who tried to destroy the balance of powers?

My guess is that due to the fact that the older population tend to be staunch supporters of the CCP, they don't want to upset them by mandating vaccines.
Also they've stoked the traditional medicine fire too much to now go back and say that they actually need real medicine.

Who said anything about them being the same? And Mr analysis over there now thinks I'm a liberal (?)
Mate, being against authoritarianism doesn't make you a liberal, it makes you a decent person.
Bolsonaro attacked democracy and flirted with a military-backed coup. Castillo was a little less subtle, by going ahead and following through with his coup, only without any sort of backing, rightfully getting thrown in jail for trying to violate the balance of powers between the judiciary, executive and legislative which is a pillar of modern democracies.
