I don't consider myself anti-AC, but it's a poor, run-down, crime and drug-infested area.

The boardwalk reflects this.

I have only had a few Atlantic County cases, but I have a friend who does PI and criminal and has an office there. It's rife with criminals, on the street and even in the city government. The mayor got into a fist fight with someone at a casino recently.

Ocean City, either NJ or MD, is the place to go.

On the eastern edge of Bergen, it's starting to stick on the roads and is still coming down. If it goes until 6 or 7 AM I can see 4 to 6 inches, absolute max.

And it's supposed to turn to rain tomorrow and be slightly above freezing, then head up to almost 60 by Thursday.

Crazy.

Considering I think we have the highest concentration of people per square mile, there's going to be litter.

As a child of the 1970s, it's so much better, it's like night and day. Of course we have miles to go, but we have come very far.

Established tenancies in NJ did not get a 25% increase. That's not correct.

Rents may have risen as people move in and out of market rate apartments. That may have gone up 25%. And many people don't know the law so they don't challenge it. It's an unusual law, to say the least.

JC has very strict rent control but it probably doesn't apply to new construction.

As my response said, unconscionable rent I creases are illegal statewide. First call the rent control office or housing department in JC. If they say your rent is not controlled, then tell your landlord they are violating state law and they should lower the increase.

NJ also has a no eviction without cause statute, so they cannot just decide to evict you for asserting your rights.

Sorry, I misread that as the Witcher. My bad.

I remember that story from a few years back. I remember there was a neighbor who had mental problems and a voyeuristic streak or the owners paid too much and only bought it because they wanted to raze the house and subdivide the lot but were denied. So there doesn't seem much mystery about who did it.

I didn't watch the show though but I did hear it was good.

Yes.

It's crazy (or was) but I have friends in LA (I used to live there) so I hear the stories about crazy prices. West LA is ridiculous. Hancock Park has gone through the roof. Even Mid-Wilshire. Despite apartments being built everywhere. The single house prices are probably higher there. I don't know the condo and rental prices there, but I am sure they're no bargain. Those may actually be higher here, at least for Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn.
