Why did the show make you feel this way? Literally only bad things happen to people of color in this show - is that not supposed to be on TV or what? Is the non-boomer thing to do is not tell a story like this?

The recruit does delve into young adult themes as that's who the main character is. It makes sense for him to have those concerns but you meet some full fledged adults and people with other problems as well.
His problems are also pretty serious imo and his whole character arc is about reconciling his maturity and motivations with his career - he's on his first job out of school so I think it's a fair thing to analyze.
