Grocery stores in general are shitty jobs. They are run my small men/women managers who are abusive because they peaked and that kid helping out to afford college is their number one enemy because they represent all those lost and dashed dreams of something better than making a front end schedule.
I worked for one grocery store in my life and never again. The times of being threatened with losing my job because I had to go to class and my manager would schedule me during classes was insane. And the union rep was the dumbest fucking guy in the building.

It is because they are good at networking and flattering people in order to manipulate them. Then once one person like this gets into management, then they tell two friends, and they tell two friends, and so on, and so on, and so on.
The scary thing is, the number of people who have no leadership skills being in a position that requires it.
In the end their only rally cry is to "add value" because that's all they rely on. The constant growth technique. Meanwhile you want to keep adding and adding, yet what you added doesn't work properly. And instead of fixing the problem you just add more "value" as a workaround.
Honestly the sales reps for software companies must be great at their jobs.

Funny. Why would they want to drown out the stories when I think some Redditor said that anti-CCP and anti-Xi protests happen all the time in China, even Shanghai. I'm guessing protests aren't that common and this is a big issue.
