You did it wrong, much like /r/python vs /r/learnpython.

Nobody guessing what subreddit to use is going to guess “AskALocksmith”, they’re going to guess “locksmith”.

You should make something else like “ProLocksmiths” or whatever, and direct people there for “advanced” discussion while leaving the easily guessed name for the common questions. It would save you so much time and effort because then you wouldn’t be fighting against human nature.

Much like /r/python though , you won’t. You’ll just continue to rail against the inevitable. :p

If only. Many large tech companies have laid of a few hundred thousand highly paid workers, which is weird because most of those companies recorded profits, just not as much growth year after year (the horror!)

If the report this week doesn't reflect it, wait a month or two when everybody from January-March runs out of their "non-working period" and begins to collect unemployment if they haven't found a new job by then.

Unemployment isn't down. It's just not.

You can’t.

It’s literally a question on the federal form when you purchase a firearm.

Until and unless it’s legalized federally, legal gun ownership and possession is incompatible with with marijuana.

A dispensary might be able to hire armed guards, but I’d consult a relevant attorney first. (The security agency may have already done so and know the relevant laws.)

Two people being shot in the US makes the news on Reddit any time it happens.

So please don’t be a hypocrite and pretend like it doesn’t.

There was just a shooting at the Mall of America. 1 dead, 1 grazed. You know how I know? Because it’s all over Reddit, with much gnashing of teeth and bemoaning of America and how bad we are, etc.

But when it happens in Paris, out come the excuses.

I bought my ECWCS gen II parka off base in Florida in the early 1990s. It’s got goretex, a cobra hood, two way zippers that you can unzip from the bottom if you want to, underarm zippers for cooling, and will keep you warm in the snow.

I love mine very much. Big pockets too. You can get them on eBay. At one point amazon had them, IDK if they still do. Mine is woodland camo because it was actually part of a uniform, but at one point they were also available in black and also ODG.

What they call the “Raven” is the best one I’ve ever made or thrown. You can adjust the lift by bending the nose up, bending the folded end in the back up, or both.

At school we’d make them from some kind of heavy paper stock (not construction paper though) and then take them outside and throw them forward and up, against the wind, as hard as we could.

They’d gain lots of altitude and then glide and glide and glide.

> Cool. I would like less psychopaths with guns please.

See that's the thing - everybody would. (Okay, everybody but a select few hard core idiots on reddit.)

Meanwhile, that doesn't mean we're okay giving up our guns. I've owned guns since I was old enough to buy them (though not consecutively) and at 51, weirdly enough I've never killed anyone. There are millions of Americans just like me, and every time some bullshit unconstitutional law is passed where guns are outright banned, or magazines the size that come in the fucking box are banned, it's people like me (which is to say, non-murderers, non-psychopaths) who get a little more and more disarmed.

Take a good hard look at /r/dgu and see who all are on the other side of this argument. Here's the top headlines (as of the time I'm typing this)

  • [2022/11/07] A local man rescued a distressed child by holding suspected kidnapper at gun point (Warner Robins, GA) (wgxa.tv)

  • Preliminary[2022/11/12] Suspected home intruder shot, killed by homeowner on Southwest Side, SAPD says (San Antonio, TX) (ksat.com)

  • Preliminary[2022/11/12] Homicide investigation: Man dead in Kansas shooting (Shawnee County, KS) (salinapost.com)

Long COVID has always sounded miserable enough that we (my family and I) have never stopped wearing masks, social distancing, etc. I read that someone lost their ability to read due to what is being described as "brain fog".

I hope they discover a way to help you during our lifetimes, just like I hope they figure out long COVID.

Same type of paramilitary unit that Trump sent to Portland in 2020. Remember? The rented minivans, and snatching US citizens off the street? That was them - maybe not personally, but the same organization. I'm glad they finally engaged the murderer in Uvalde, but I remain very disappointed in my Federal government, something I never used to be and hope to feel better about someday. :(
