We spend around $150 in the spring and get enough delivered to last an entire fire pit season.

Reply to Parents, how/where do you sign your kids up for extracurricular activities? by RoverTheMonster
We did dance class at a rec center. They also offer gymnastics and archery. Some have singing/acting/drama/art classes. We found our Girl Scout troop through school. We're lucky that our school has a good amount of extracurriculars, so all are through there now.
As a single mom, I just tried to find the most affordable version of what it was she wanted to do. I used Google and asked on Facebook (both my own network and in neighborhood groups).

Reply to Realistically, what are my options to deal with a car blocking my driveway? by olanzapine_dreams
Unfortunately, you have to keep calling 911 until a cop shows up to ticket it. Then you can have it towed. When this happens to my driveway, we do a cursory knock on neighbors' doors to see if we can find the person first.

I second Shadybrook. My kid loved it as a toddler. She's 11 and just asked to go again this year.

I had no idea it was Polish Independence Day! My friend and I are spending the day making pierogi for Thanksgiving. We've had it planned for months now.
