Woodstock Inn usually has excellent Christmas decor that you don’t need to be a guest to enjoy. Woodstock itself has the trees lighted up and a large star illuminating the top of Mt. Tom. It’s a very quaint village with an old general store. Very Vermonty and senior friendly. It’ll probably be less crowded than Stowe too.

OP is right to be mad. These companies (not just trailer park owners, but most rental property owners) view basic human need as an investment. The corporate ones literally tell investors that the renters have no other place to go, so they can be squeezed for more money. It is wrong to have that mentality. It is wrong. Coercion for profit is wrong. Fuck you if you disagree. Who cares if their rent is low, have a little solidarity with people.

While it is a progressive state, it’s still the second whitest state in the US. Mostly it’ll be fine, but expect some microaggressions and kids being cruel.
