Yay for change for the sake of change. :/ And, despite what they claim, functionality is certain to be reduced in the redesign, same as it has been with Firefox.

Slower, anyways.

Eh. They'll probably fight it if they're feeling too lazy to check their couch for loose change.

The 13th Amendment's abolishment of slavery contains a HUGE exception for prisoners. There's a reason why most of the USA's prison population is black...

They're referring to Wal-Mart...
> The Arkansas study shows that nearly 4,000 of the companies 45,106 employees are on public assistance, with a vast majority of them receiving Medicaid for their children. Food stamps and transitional employment make up the rest of the public assistance, costing the state $39.6 million per year.

Slavery was never actually abolished in the USA. Go read the 13th Amendment...

Yep. The option that poisons 3.8 billion litres of water per day per plant and where we have to store the waste products deep underground in the most geologically-stable areas we can manage and keep under perpetual guard for fear that they get out is obviously the better option.
edit: I see the Nuclear Nuts are still refusing to acknowledge that any part of nuclear power generation other than the emissions might matter.

Not really, given that you were trying to blame it on Islam when it is completely irrelevant because it wouldn't matter what they were protesting - the exact same thing would happen [edit: when some dumbass runs out onto the field in the middle of an event]. And would happen anywhere else in the world.

What's religion got to do with it? Where in the world will someone who runs out onto the field in the middle of a game NOT be ejected, usually in handcuffs, and banned from the stadium/event?

Translation: He was treated like any other dumbass who runs out onto a sports field pretty much anywhere else in the world.

Won't be Mastodon, though. Not when people realize that it is, by design, already in the same mess Twitter soon will be with unaccountable individuals (rather than boards or committees, who at least have to compromise with each other) making the rules about what you can send and see on a node-by-node basis (like subreddits with a single mod, but worse since the person who runs the node doesn't have any network-wide content rules they have to obey).

What other sorta-real-time, mobile micro-blogging platforms are there to move to that have enough people to make switching away from Twitter even vaguely realistic?

Nah. They'll probably do a Firefox and remove and reduce functionality to the point where it's just like any other client and there's no longer any point to people using it.
