No, you pay for November to the following October, regardless of when in the year you pay it. You’ll be paying for it to be registered for 2023 this time, and then come October, you’ll be paying for 2024. There are no late fees, though, so there’s that.

Does it have a plate on it? And if so, NH or out of state? If NH, contact the dmv (you can email) with the plate number and ask them if they can contact the owner or have the owner’s town clerk’s office contact them. Best case scenario, it was a case of mistaken property (temp parking in what they thought was a friend’s yard), and owner can come and pick it up. Worst case, it’s abandoned and dmv can advise who to contact. I find it really odd that the determining factor for the police was that it was parked on private property. Sounds just plain lazy to me.

Despite the long wait times on hold, once you get through, the folks at the help desk are generally really nice and good to work with.

No one here has stated that they are “fine” with mass shootings, murder or mayhem. I have my own thoughts on what the root of the problem is, and surprisingly it isn’t guns. Guns are the most accessible tool used to perpetrate violence by those who have no respect for human life. If we didn’t have guns, it’d be knives, bombs, and any number of other weapons. Taking away guns doesn’t take away the violence, because at the end of the day it isn’t a gun problem, it’s a people problem. But God forbid our government focus on fixing its broken people and the societal issues that impact them.
