I can feel the difference between sheets but I don't necessarily prefer higher thread count. I like heavy sheets and some sheets are heavier with lower thread counts. I have to feel each sheet in person to decide.

They already add value to society. We don't have to contribute to capital gains to have value as human beings.

It is not the same at all. The dopamine release of clicking additive cell phones games and scrolling through feeds is vastly different from being engrossed in reading a book.

Your local public library. Mine gives recommendations. You submit your criteria and anything you're not okay with and they will give you a list of books they think might work for you. It's fantastic.

Reply to comment by sandigity in Zojirushi rice cooker. Cooking rice to perfection 15 years and counting. by Spudcommando
I have a newish Zojirushi (5 years old). It makes perfect rice every time. I've owned cheaper rice cookers and they're fine, but this is noticeably better. It has never boiled over with rice. I did boil it over once when I made oatmeal and forgot to select the porridge option. No issues making oats when I do remember to select the porridge option.
