Yeah I mean what the fuck was that all about? That dude clearly has some issues to work out.

So stop listening to it. Pretty simple. I've pretty much stopped listening to hip hop entirely because I feel the genre has gotten stale and the heavy misogynistic lyrics really are off-putting to me. Other people are free to listen to it but I'll just go listen to something else.

It's a masterpiece. I don't go out of my way to listen to it because I've heard it so much, but it's still a fantastic song.

A lot of ambient music is good for this too. It's sort of a trait of the genre that the mixing feels crisp so you can make out the different layers. Recently I've been listening to Structures From Silence by Steve Roach and Green by Hiroshi Yoshimura.

Just go nuts. Expose yourself to as much as possible. When you find something you like, do some research on it. Look it up on Reddit or rym, see what other people think of it.

And they sounded very different with Peter Green, it's like a completely different band.

"Spent my days with a woman unkind. Smoked my stuff and drank all my wine.
Made up my mind to make a new start. Going to California with an aching in my heart.
Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.
I took my chances on a big jet plain. Don't ever let them tell you that they're all the same.
The sea was red and the sky was grey. I'm wondering how tomorrow could ever follow today.
The mountains and the canyons start to tremble and shake. The children of the sun began to awake.
To find a queen without a king, they say she plays guitar, and cries, and sings.
Ride a white mare on the footsteps of dawn. Trying to find a woman who's never, never, never been born.
Standing on the hill of my mountain of dreams, telling myself it's not as hard, hard, hard as it seems."

It's a pretty silly scenario because it's impossible to determine the "best" in music.

Will not be going to see them. I've seen them twice, both times they didn't put on a good show. Setlist was too short, Anthony's pitch was all over the place. You could tell they were just going through the motions to collect their pay. At the end of the concert everyone but Chad immediately left the stage without even acknowledging the crowd and Chad got on the mic and thanked everyone for coming out.
Just affirmed my opinion that Chad Smith is the coolest member of RHCP.

My life goal is to learn the harmonica solo to that song. I can already sing the fast part, so I figure if I learn the solo I'll have the ultimate party trick.
