I totally get it, my wife and I were kinda like “…well shit that was depressing” after the first episode, and I told her I really liked it, but that is appeared to be a story largely about shitty people in a shitty town that’s fucked”.
So I agree with your assessment. Also, having both a 4 and a 1 year old has also made some situations more relatable and/or difficult to watch.
Years ago a friend told me about The Truman Show, which I had never seen. He told me when Truman finds out what is going on, he goes in a rampage killing everyone.
I watched the whole movie waiting for him to snap, up until the credits rolled. He got me good.
Generally speaking, banks do not recognize any agreements between you and a co-borrower. The risk is that the other party could stop paying at any time and then you are responsible for the entire mortgage, so they calculate DTI with the whole monthly payment.
