Well water as long as you test it and have proper treatment. Municipal water is disgusting.

Reply to Handyman apps? by odkevin
Word of mouth is your best friend. Contractors are booked up with medium and big projects (new construction, renovation/additions, kitchens/baths) that it’s hard for them to pick up smaller projects and rot repair/maintenance stuff. Talk to your neighbors, get some cards made up and hand them out. See if your town has a Facebook group I always see people asking for handyman services on ours.

Reply to Best internet? Starlink? by Sjfilbey
Switched from consolidated communications to starlink. Such a huge upgrade haven’t looked back at all. Once in a while we have a hiccup during extreme ice or snow. But besides that we have been incredibly happy. Ours is $90 a month which is cheaper than consolidated. Unless you can get xfinity starlink is your best option

Reply to Where to stay for a weekend in mid-April? (Ideally: stargazing/low light pollution, on a train line, scenic bike ride, tasty dinner) by t-shirt-questforlove
Honestly don’t come in April. Still coldish, and usually muddy. Trees aren’t quite bloomed yet. It’s a very mediocre time in Vermont besides winter being over.

Really depends on the road you live on and roads you travel often. If you’re not going up mountains and rough dirt roads you should be fine in terms of ground clearance.

Reply to Addison or Southern Chittenden County by ChefOk8428
As Chittenden becomes priced out people are moving to southern Chittenden and northern Addison more. Hinesburg had a big boom and recently Monkton and Middlebury have seen population increases. I don’t see this trend or prices going down anytime soon. Maybe a slight decrease in prices due to slightly less demand after the craziness of the pandemic.

Reply to Does anybody know anything about the panhandling family in Williston? by New-Initiative-4280
I’ve seen them a lot the last week or so. Seems odd that the school age kids are there during the school day. They also seem very well dressed. There’s dozens and dozens of businesses hiring in almost every line of work. Sorry no sympathy 🤷🏻♂️
