They don‘t, all prices (wholesale AND consumer) have massively come down since their peak in September. Seems like the worst is over.

Russia blocked natural gas exports via Yamal in May when Poland refused to switch to ruble payment. Their backpedaling now shows that Russia already doesn’t have any leverage over Europe regarding energy exports. This went quicker than expected…

Pretty sure they didn‘t pay in rubles, as that would be against sanctions. Seems like Russia has brought this on itself, no sympathy for Sberbank… 🤷🏼♂️
