Reply to Sam Altman Confirms GPT 4 release in 2023 by Neurogence
Even though this is far from a "confirm", I'm one to be very optimistic about the advancement of AI / Machine Learning. IMO - humanity not only survives AI but we also benefit as a whole. It may not be utopia but it will be far from doomsday. This is also considering we, as individuals, need to do our part in whatever way we can to help see AI through in a positive direction. We can't just stand idly by!!

Reply to With all the AI breakthroughs and IT advancements the past year, how do people react these days when you try to discuss the nearing automation and AGI revolution? by AdditionalPizza
All my friends and family know me as being obsessed with talking about AI. Most of them are sick of hearing about it, lol. Still, what keeps me looking forward to waking up every day is the advancement in AI and technology. My gut feeling is that the future will tip the pendulum more in favor of a positive future rather than a negative one. I am in agreement with Elon though when he says: "as long as we (the human race) don't become complacent."
The future is going to be incredibly exciting. I hope we (humans) survive and prosper.

Reply to Given the exponential rate of improvement to prompt based image/video generation, in how many years do you think we'll see entire movies generated from a prompt? by yea_okay_dude
When we can't tell if we are speaking to an NPC or a real person in a game, we will be pretty close to making text to video movies that are decent. NPC's are still very dumb lol.

>come to your own conclusion like the rest of us do
Pretty sure people that draw their own conclusions based on due diligence research are the minority on the internet, not like "the rest of us".
