Still not enough. I had a friend do that then walk through tall grass like an idiot. His pants had at least 9 ticks trying to burrow into the seams of the pant legs. While the pants stopped them, they still needed to be plucked off and drowned in alcohol.
The way around this is to treat your pants with the permethrin chemical before you go hiking or such. That clinches the defense against them.

They're still around. An article I read though states that once the local predators learn they can safely eat these bugs, we should start to see a dip in their numbers. It's going to take a few years though.

Fuck Pompton Lakes! The reason that damn place has not been able to clean up is due to half the town not wanting to admit there's a pollution issue! The people who suffer from cancer don't deserve the animosity they get from their fellow townspeople.

I purposely joined one of those groups to see for myself. It’s sad. Half the town wants to see justice against DuPont. The other half is happy to ignore any and all signs of cancer, even if it’s their neighbor dying, just so their property values do not go down.
