Yeah it'd be nice if we could reorganize society in a positive way but I think it's far more likely the powers that be let a good majority of us starve to death, homeless.

Yeah they do. I had originally stopped using mine when I was using a galaxy S8 that couldn't be updated and there was security exploits that could be run through the default app. Using signal was an easy way to avoid that.

I suppose now that I'm on a new phone I could go back to the stock app.

Really unhappy about this. I think this is a mistake. Been using signal for sms for years. I only know a few people who actually use signal, so I'm not sure if I'll keep using it if I have to find a new app for sms.
