Literally any of it. I am 40 and still have eye shadow that I wore in junior high. None of my makeup is less than four years old. All of it came from a pharmacy or grocery store and is a brand you've heard of.

I wear makeup as often as you, and I promise you that whatever diseases the manufacturers think are getting on your products are long dead by the next time you need to wear makeup.

I just had my high school Jansport repaired for free last month, so I totally agree with you.

I tend to hate branded swag anyway because they're so wasteful. Most people don't want something with their boss' company name all over it. In lieu of a Christmas gift during Covid, my employer gave everyone branded blankets and jackets. There is no way to remove the logo, and I have since moved out of state to a place that's unfamiliar with this company, so if I donate it, no one will know who the hell they are, and it'll probably end up in a landfill.

I had one bought in 2013 break a few months ago. I used it every day and heated it in the microwave for 30 seconds daily or twice daily. It broke directly in half after one last turn in the microwave. I bought its exact copy at Walmart a few days later. They are safe and strong as hell. Spring for their Vitrelle styles if you can.

Honestly, Rubbermaid makes this, and they don't break. We have leftover containers that are the same footprint and nest, and the difference is the height. Lids are the same size.

And then we have some larger food storage container that are designed the same size with the same lid. Only the height is the difference.

If Rubbermaid isn't your jam, try searching for modular containers. Many will have the same lids used on all sizes.

I know this is just anecdotal evidence, but my mom bought me some Target brand Xhilaration pajama pants in 2005, and I still wear them. I've never had to mend any holes. The waist is a tie rather than elastic, so that hasn't worn out either.

They don't even make that brand anymore, but if you see them in thrift stores, grab them.

I've actually got my eye on some Ralph Lauren satin pajamas if you're looking for something with more guaranteed quality.

When my husband and I met, I had a metal framed bed that I'd gotten from Walmart or some such place, and my husband bent it during a session of adult things. When we moved in together, we got a real wood one, possibly plywood, from Amazon and have moved to 3 different homes since then. It has held up very well.

Estate sales have elderly person furniture that's enormous and ornate and Amish furniture is also rather large and quite expensive. If you want something in the minimal or modern or contemporary design styles, just look for anything that's real wood. MDF is code for particle board, so avoid that.

My husband has had different sizes of this for well over 10 years, and there are no cracks in the lids of any of them.

The 16 cup size is big enough for a 5 lb. bag of rice or beans. We don't put 10 lbs. of anything in these because then we wouldn't be able to get it down from the shelf.
